When news that KD Sports had recruited visionary Frankie Panno to the head up their kneeboard team, everyone’s next thought was ‘But what will he ride?’. As a titan of the sport, Frankie has seen board companies come/go and always revered the original twin tipped Neptune shape on which KD Sports paid homage too with their own board of the same name. In true perfectionist form, Frank made the tweaks he felt it needed and from that the ‘Neptune Legacy’ was born. Starting at its heart, an ultralight ‘Procore’ that blended the right amount of mass/forgiveness needed to charge down the largest of wakes was sourced. Unlike the original Neptune that featured a blended layup, Frankie equipped the Legacy with a full carbon fibre construction to maximise the transfer of energy delivered from the blended rocker off top of the wake for unrivalled pop.

Allowing a consistent line tension throughout the turn has always been crucial to how big a rider can go, and KD Sports have taken full advantage of their industry knowledge to create a unique rail and fluted tail combination that isn’t prone to blowing out when riders step up to longer line lengths need to clear larger wakes.
